Working Hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday - 9am - 5pm with a 30 minute paid lunch About Company Resilience Care Homes provides specialist residential care for children and young people aged 8-17. Our homes are Ofsted registered, providing a therapeutic and holistic approach, aimed at helping young people feel safe, listened to and supported while developing resilience, confidence and independence. W have homes across Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Yorkshire. Within the homes, staff encourage education, hobbies and outdoor activities as part of young people physical, emotional, social and intellectual development with the aim to prepare the young people for greater independence. Key Responsibilities Recruitment and Safer Recruitment Assist with advertising vacancies and maintaining recruitment records. Support the processing of employment applications. Arrange interviews and communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process. Prepare interview documentation. Support pre-employment and safer recruitment checks in accordance with company procedures. Obtain and verify references. Process DBS checks and other required employment checks. Maintain accurate recruitment and compliance records. Ensure recruitment documentation is handled confidentially and securely. Assist with preparing offer letters, contracts and new starter documentation. New Starters and Onboarding Prepare new starter files and onboarding documentation. Ensure required documentation has been received and recorded. Coordinate starting arrangements with managers. Update HR systems with new employee details. Assist with probation review administration. HR Administration Maintain accurate and confidential electronic and paper employee records. Process changes to employee details. Prepare routine HR letters and documentation. Assist with maintaining HR databases, trackers and spreadsheets. Monitor the HR inbox Support filing, scanning and document management. Assist in producing HR reports and management information. Complete routine HR audits to identify missing or expired documentation. Employee Lifecycle Support Assist with probationary review processes. Support absence and attendance administration. Process employee change documentation. Assist with maternity, paternity and other family-related leave administration. Assist with employee leaver processes and exit documentation. Support the administration associated with disciplinary, grievance and capability processes where appropriate. Confidentiality and Data Protection The HR Apprentice will have access to sensitive and confidential employee information and must: Maintain strict confidentiality at all times. Only access employee information required to perform their duties. Handle personal and sensitive information in accordance with company policies and data protection requirements. Store HR documentation securely. Never disclose employee or organisational information without appropriate authority. Escalate any suspected data protection or confidentiality breach immediately. General Responsibilities Provide professional and courteous support to employees and managers. Develop positive working relationships across the organisation. Undertake apprenticeship learning and complete required coursework. Attend training and development activities. Take responsibility for their own continuing professional development. Work in accordance with organisational policies and procedures. Promote the organisation's values and expected standards of behaviour.
