Southill Tea Rooms are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Apprentice Production Chef to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in the hospitality and catering industry while gaining valuable workplace experience and working towards a recognised qualification. What You'll Be Doing As an Apprentice Production Chef, you will learn all aspects of kitchen operations and food preparation, including: Learning and developing new skills Preparing fruits and vegetables for service Assisting with food preparation and presentation Supporting basic baking activities Using commercial kitchen equipment safely and effectively Assisting with maintaining kitchen organisation and cleanliness Supporting food hygiene and safety management procedures Carrying out general cleaning duties Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times Rotating and replenishing stock Ensuring kitchen utensils and equipment are cleaned and maintained We are seeking someone who is: Eager to learn and develop new skills Passionate about food and hospitality Hardworking and reliable Able to work as part of a team Well organised with good attention to detail Committed to maintaining high hygiene and food safety standards What We Offer A recognised Production Chef Apprenticeship standard qualification Hands-on training in a busy kitchen environment Support from experienced professionals Opportunities to develop your skills and progress within the hospitality industry If you are enthusiastic about cooking and would like to build a rewarding career in catering, we'd love to hear from you. As an Apprentice you will be included on a Level 2 Production Chef Apprenticeship, which will be delivered by Inspiro Learning, who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a development coach meeting you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship. To become an apprentice, you must: be 16 or over not already be in full-time education As an apprentice you’ll: complete either a level 2 production chef apprenticeship standard have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace learn and train for a specific job get paid and receive holiday leave get hands-on experience in a real job study for 6 hours of your working hours complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship be on a career path with lots of future potential be entitled to a TOTUM membership, find out more here For more information about Inspiro Learning’s apprenticeship delivery and what it entails please click here to to watch a short video What is an apprenticeship?
