Pastoral Support Worker Level 1

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Support Worker to join the Buswells Lodge Primary School community. Serving one of the most disadvantaged communities in Leicester, you will play a vital role in supporting children to overcome barriers to learning, attendance, wellbeing and personal development. Working closely with pupils, families and external agencies, you will build positive relationships that help children feel safe, valued and ready to succeed both academically and socially. Your work will have a direct impact on pupils' confidence, resilience and engagement, enabling them to thrive throughout their primary school journey. This is an incredibly rewarding role, offering the opportunity to make a genuine and lasting difference to the lives of children every day. Visits to the school to meet with the Headteacher are highly recommended and can be arranged via the School Office. Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30 am until 4.30 pm and  Friday 8.00 am until 3.30 pm  ( 30 minute lunch break) 39 weeks per year Salary Grade 4 Points 7-10 £22,786 - £24,287 pa Closing date: Friday 18th September 2026 at 12.00 pm Interview date (provisional): Thursday 24th September 2026 Start date: As soon as possible
