Job Description: Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team, providing compassionate care and support within a care home environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents, particularly those requiring senior care. This role offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills and work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalised care plans. A valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate transportation needs. Duties Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support Support the implementation and review of individualised care plans in collaboration with senior staff Administer medications as per prescriber direction Monitor residents' health and report any changes or concerns promptly Supervise and mentor junior staff or volunteers, promoting a positive team environment Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care Assist with organising activities and social engagement programmes for residents Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times Experience Previous experience working in a care home or senior care setting is preferred Supervising or leadership experience within healthcare environments is advantageous Knowledge of care planning processes and documentation standards Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with residents and team members Proficiency in IT systems used for record keeping and reporting purposes Driving experience is desirable to support transportation duties when required This role offers an enriching environment where compassion, organisation, and leadership are highly valued.
