HoursMonday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm1-hour lunch break35 hours per weekWhat You'll DoAs a Business Administration Apprentice, you’ll support the team with a range of day-to-day administrative and customer service tasks, including:Completing general administration and office supportTyping and preparing emails, letters and documentsFiling and maintaining accurate recordsUsing Microsoft Office, particularly Word and ExcelAnswering telephone calls and dealing with enquiriesCommunicating with customers and visitors professionallyInputting and updating data on internal systemsResponding to requests for informationManaging and organising documentsSupporting colleagues with administrative tasksHandling confidential information appropriatelyFollowing company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and confidentiality requirementsTaking on additional responsibilities as your skills and experience developWhat We're Looking ForYou should have:Good communication skillsGood IT skills and confidence using computersStrong attention to detailGood organisational skillsAn interest in business administration and financeGood customer service skillsThe ability to work as part of a teamThe ability to work accurately with numbers and dataInitiative and a willingness to learnRequirements5 GCSEs, including Maths and English, at Grade 5/C or aboveAn interest in developing a career in business administration and asset financeTraining & DevelopmentYou’ll work towards a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard while gaining practical experience in the workplace.Your training will cover areas including:Microsoft Office and business IT systemsBusiness administrationData entry and data analysisPreparing business documents and correspondenceRecord keeping and document managementCustomer service and communicationHandling confidential informationOrganisation and time managementProblem-solving and decision-makingSupporting business processes and projectsYou’ll also complete Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English if required.20% of your working time will be dedicated to training and development, with support from a tutor throughout the apprenticeship.Career ProgressionThere is the opportunity to progress into a full-time position for the right candidate following successful completion of the apprenticeship.This is a good opportunity for someone looking to build a career in business administration, finance, asset finance or financial services while gaining a recognised Level 3 qualification and practical workplace experience.
