HoursMonday to Friday, 9:00am–3:00pm30 hours per weekWhat You'll DoYou’ll support the day-to-day running of the office and gain experience across a range of business administration tasks, including:Carrying out general office administrationAnswering and making telephone callsResponding to emails and customer enquiriesUpdating records, databases and spreadsheetsFiling and organising paperwork and electronic documentsAssisting with invoices, quotes and purchase ordersBooking appointments and helping coordinate schedulesSupporting colleagues with administrative tasksKeeping office systems and records accurate and up to dateCustomer ServiceYou’ll also have regular contact with customers, including:Handling customer enquiries professionally over the phonePassing information to the relevant members of the teamFollowing up customer enquiries when requiredBuilding positive working relationships with customers and colleaguesAttending customer meetingsMarketingThe role also includes some marketing responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to develop skills in:Making outbound marketing callsAssisting with social media content and updatesCreating simple marketing materials and social media postsSupporting online marketing activitiesGathering content from the businessMaintaining the company’s social media presenceSupporting promotional campaignsWhat We're Looking ForWe’re looking for someone who is:Confident speaking to customers on the telephoneFriendly, approachable and professionalOrganised and reliableComfortable using computersInterested in learning new software and systemsAble to communicate clearlyAble to work well as part of a teamWilling to learn and develop new skillsComfortable taking on a variety of tasksRequirementsGCSE English – Grade 3–9GCSE Maths – Grade 3–9Good timekeepingGood organisational skillsAttention to detailTraining & DevelopmentYou’ll work towards a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard while gaining hands-on experience in the workplace.Training will include:Business administrationMicrosoft Office and other IT systemsData entry and maintaining databasesPreparing emails, letters and business documentsRecord keeping and document managementCustomer service and communicationFinancial administrationSocial media and digital communicationOrganisation and time managementProblem-solving and decision-makingSupporting business projectsYou’ll also complete Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths if required.Career ProgressionYou’ll gain practical experience across business administration, customer service and marketing, with support throughout your apprenticeship.There is the opportunity to progress into a permanent position on successful completion of the apprenticeship, with the chance to take on additional responsibilities as your skills and confidence develop.
