You'll be based within a school environment, providing on-site IT support to staff and students while learning from experienced IT professionals. This is a fantastic opportunity to build practical skills in technical support, networking, hardware and software, and customer service.About the RoleAs an IT Support Technician Apprentice, you'll provide first-line technical support across two nearby school sites, helping to ensure staff and students have reliable access to IT systems and equipment.You'll gain experience with a wide range of technologies while developing the knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in IT.What You'll Be DoingProvide first-line IT support to staff and studentsDiagnose and resolve hardware and software issuesSupport Windows PCs, laptops, printers and other IT equipmentAssist with Microsoft 365 user accounts, passwords and permissionsSet up, configure and install new devicesLog and manage support requests using the helpdesk systemMaintain accurate IT records and documentationSupport classroom technology and audiovisual equipmentHelp maintain secure, reliable IT systems across both school sitesDeliver excellent customer service while supporting end usersWhat We're Looking ForThis apprenticeship would suit someone who is:Passionate about IT and technologyLooking to begin a career in IT SupportA confident communicator with excellent customer service skillsLogical with strong problem-solving abilitiesOrganised and able to prioritise workloadReliable, professional and eager to learnComfortable working independently and as part of a teamEssential RequirementsGCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)Good IT and computer skillsStrong communication skillsExcellent attention to detailA genuine interest in technologyAdditional RequirementsA full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.This role supports two school sites located approximately six miles apart, so you'll need to travel between both sites during the working day.Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
