About your role We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Apprentice to join our IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in IT while gaining hands-on experience supporting users, systems, and technology services within a professional business environment. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced IT professionals, developing technical skills across service desk support, Microsoft 365 administration, information security, infrastructure support, and end-user device management. Main responsibilities Acting as a first point of contact for IT support requests, incidents, and service inquiries. Providing technical support to users via phone, email, remote support tools, and in person. Assisting with the diagnosis and resolution of hardware, software, and account-related issues. Supporting user onboarding and offboarding activities, including account creation, access management, and equipment setup. Assisting with the administration of Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Entra ID. Helping maintain end-user devices, software deployments, and mobile device management systems. Supporting the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio and video conferencing equipment. Helping maintain the IT desk setups for office-based staff. Creating and updating technical documentation, user guides, and knowledge base articles. Following IT policies, procedures, and security best practices at all times. And any other tasks as required by the IT Department. Technical knowledge, skills and experience Passion for Problem-Solving Friendly and approachable Strong communication skills, in person, on the phone, and in writing Able to work effectively during early morning hours and maintain a reliable attendance record. Reliable and trustworthy Attention to detail Demonstrates respect for people from all backgrounds and experiences Eager to learn Flexible attitude to work and able to take on a range of tasks Entry requirements: 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above) Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject Non-standard entry with work experience Relevant qualifications and/or work experience
