This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to begin or develop a career in professional finance and accounting while working towards an AAT qualification. As a Finance Associate Apprentice, you will support the delivery of a wide range of accounting and finance services to a portfolio of small business clients. You will gain practical experience across bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, management accounts, annual accounts, tax and company secretarial work, under the guidance of our directors and experienced team members.Client Accounting SupportSupport the delivery of bookkeeping, management accounts, payroll, VAT, annual accounts, tax and company secretarial services for a portfolio of clients.Process financial transactions, maintain accurate accounting records and complete routine reconciliations using systems such as Xero and Dext. Gather, organise and check client information and supporting documents, identifying missing or unusual items.Assist with the preparation of reports, working papers, returns and statutory filings under appropriate supervision.Support client onboarding, administration and other projects as required.Take increasing ownership of tasks as your knowledge, confidence and competence develop.Client Service and CommunicationCommunicate professionally with clients and colleagues by email, telephone and video call.Request information, follow up outstanding queries and provide clear progress updates.Build positive working relationships and represent Bright Beany’s values in every interaction.Recognise when a matter requires further guidance and raise questions, errors or concerns promptly.Handle client, payroll and business information accurately, professionally and confidentially.Training and Professional DevelopmentStudy towards the agreed AAT qualification and complete all required training, assessments and examinations.Attend scheduled learning sessions, progress reviews and internal training.Apply knowledge gained through your studies to practical client work.Manage your workload and study commitments responsibly, meeting agreed deadlines.Act on feedback, take responsibility for your development and contribute to continuous improvement across the firm.
