Freelance Mechanical Site Supervisor Wakefield, West Yorkshire Ongoing Freelance 240 per day Are you an experienced Site Supervisor with a strong mechanical and heating background? We are currently seeking a proactive and commercially aware Mechanical Site Supervisor for an ongoing freelance contract based in Wakefield. In this role, you will not only oversee the day-to-day site operations but also play a crucial role in the commercial side of the project, including pricing, costing, and estimating for mechanical works. This is an excellent opportunity for a supervisor who combines hands-on mechanical expertise with a sharp eye for project costs and variations. Key Responsibilities Site Supervision: Oversee and manage daily mechanical and heating installations on-site, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards. Commercial Duties: Take the lead on pricing works, estimating materials, and costing up variations or additional project phases. Team Management: Coordinate with sub-contractors, direct labor, and site management to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Health & Safety: Ensure full compliance with site health, safety, and environmental regulations. Reporting: Keep accurate records of site progress, material usage, and commercial reporting for the project management team. What We Are Looking For Trade Background: A strong, proven background in mechanical and heating systems (e.g., commercial plumbing, HVAC, or pipefitting). Commercial Acumen: Demonstrable experience in pricing works, costing, and estimating within the mechanical sector. Qualifications: SSSTS or SMSTS certification, along with a valid CSCS card. Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage both the operational and financial aspects of mechanical packages. Local to Wakefield: Ideally located within a commutable distance to the Wakefield area. Apply below
