Our client is a well-established Building Services contractor delivering mechanical and electrical solutions across a diverse range of commercial, healthcare, education and residential projects. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their team. The Role As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for mechanical building services projects. Working closely with clients, suppliers and internal teams, you will play a key role in securing new business and supporting the company's continued success. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for mechanical building services projects. Analyse drawings, specifications and tender documentation. Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Carry out take-offs and prepare bills of quantities. Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions. Liaise with clients, consultants and project teams throughout the tender process. Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings as required. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market rates and industry trends. Support handover meetings with operational teams following successful tender awards. Requirements Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the Building Services sector. Strong knowledge of HVAC, public health and mechanical building services installations. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tender submissions simultaneously.
