The Opportunity Working closely with the leadership team, you will take ownership of estimating activities across a diverse range of construction projects, supporting the business in securing new work and maintaining strong commercial performance. As a senior figure within the pre-construction team, you will also have the opportunity to mentor and support an apprentice who will be joining the business, helping to develop the next generation of estimating talent. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator who enjoys being involved in the wider business, influencing bid strategy, identifying value-engineering opportunities and contributing to future growth. YOUR NEW ROLE Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions Reviewing drawings, specifications and employer requirements Producing accurate take-offs and pricing exercises Managing subcontractor and supplier enquiries Identifying value-engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions Supporting bid strategy and tender presentations Liaising with commercial, design and delivery teams throughout the pre-construction process Attending site visits, client meetings and tender interviews where required Assisting with the development and training of a junior apprentice estimator
