Estimator Location: Leicester Salary: 35,000 - 38,000 per annum Hours: Full Time, Permanent Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) all office based The Opportunity An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join a well-established and growing manufacturer and supplier within the construction products sector. With a strong reputation built over several decades, our client is a market leader in their field and continues to invest in both its people and future growth. You will play a key role in preparing accurate quotations and cost estimates for a wide range of construction and building products. This is a commercially focused position that requires excellent attention to detail, strong numerical skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate quotations and cost estimates from customer enquiries, drawings and specifications Review technical drawings, bills of quantities and project requirements Calculate material quantities and project costs Liaise with customers, contractors, architects and internal departments regarding project details Obtain and maintain supplier pricing information Produce tender submissions and quotation packages within agreed deadlines Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities Maintain pricing schedules and project documentation Monitor market pricing trends and competitor activity Support project handovers to operational and customer service teams Track projects and assist with lead generation activities where required About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Previous experience within Estimating, Sales Estimating or Quantity Surveying The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Strong communication and customer
