Finance Assistant – Temporary Opportunity Location: Newcastle upon Tyne Contract: Temporary
Start: Immediate Are you an experienced Finance Assistant looking for your next opportunity and available to start immediately? We’re currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a busy Finance team within an established organisation based in Newcastle. This is a varied, hands-on position providing essential day-to-day support across the Finance function. You’ll play an important role in ensuring financial information is processed accurately, efficiently and on time, while supporting strong financial controls and effective cash flow management. What you’ll be doing Providing day-to-day transactional finance support Processing financial information accurately and in line with internal procedures Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable activities Processing supplier invoices and supporting payments Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries Raising customer invoices and supporting credit control Assisting with month-end activities, including reconciliations, accruals and prepayments Supporting management accounts, budgets, forecasts and cashflow analysis Maintaining accurate financial records and schedules Working closely with colleagues across Finance and providing a professional service to internal and external stakeholders What we’re looking for We’d be particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have: Previous experience working within a finance or accounts environment Experience with invoice processing, payments or income transactions Exposure to month-end processes and reconciliations Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good Excel skills Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines Confident communication skills when dealing with colleagues, suppliers and other stakeholders If you’re an experienced Finance Assistant who is immediately available and looking for a temporary opportunity in Newcastle, we’d love to hear from you.
