Housing Officer - Neighbourhoods Exeter Location: Exeter Pay: £18.67 - £20.75 per hour Hours: 25 hours per week Contract: 12 weeks - Temporary Start Date: 7th December 2026 Housing Officer - Temporary Opportunity RGB Recruitment is looking for an experienced Housing Officer to join a leading housing association on a 12-week temporary contract covering neighbourhoods across Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, customer-focused housing professional who enjoys being out in the community, managing tenancies and making a real difference to residents. The Role Manage a designated housing patch across Exeter, delivering excellent frontline housing services. Handle tenancy enquiries, permissions, sign-ups and property viewings. Investigate and manage tenancy breaches, including safeguarding concerns. Carry out estate inspections, ensuring neighbourhoods remain safe, clean and well-maintained. Work closely with residents, contractors and partner agencies to resolve issues. Support resident engagement and community development initiatives. Maintain high standards of tenancy and estate management. What We're Looking For Previous social housing experience is essential , ideally within a Housing Officer or Neighbourhood Officer role. Strong knowledge of tenancy management, estate management and tenancy enforcement. Experience dealing with challenging situations and safeguarding concerns. Excellent communication, organisation and customer service skills. CIH Level 4 qualification or willingness to work towards it. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle essential. Ability to manage your own workload and work independently across a geographical patch. Interested?
