SMSA

We are looking for a committed School Meals Supervisory Assistant (SMSA) to join our friendly and supportive team as soon as possible. You will be responsible for: • Supervising and caring for the children during lunchtimes • Interacting with children & ensuring that they are engaged in active, purposeful, positive and co-operative play • Ensuring children are behaving appropriately and in line with the school’s behaviour policy at all times • Being aware of and responding to Health & Safety issues promptly • Being a strong, positive role model for the children and other staff • Following the school’s policy and procedures on child protection and attending any relevant training • Working with colleagues to set up and clear the dining hall • Maintaining confidentiality at all times. *Previous experience is not necessary but you must be willing and able to attend relevant training* In return we can offer you: • The opportunity to be part of a welcoming and supportive team • Lots of happy, polite and well-behaved children • A lovely working environment • On-going training, relevant to the role.
