TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming village primary school based in Llanelli, who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant. The school provides a supportive and nurturing learning environment, with a focus on helping children develop their confidence, independence and academic abilities.

The school is looking to take on an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, with an immediate start. The successful Teaching Assistant will be responsible for supporting children through small group interventions, helping pupils develop their literacy, numeracy and wider learning skills while working closely with the class teacher to support individual learning needs.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience

• Experience working with children in a primary school setting

• Experience supporting small group interventions

• A good understanding of the primary curriculum

• Strong communication and behaviour management skills

• A patient, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning
