Job Title: Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant

Salary: £92.63 - £97.63 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream primary school based in Abergavenny, who are looking to appoint a Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant. The school is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and academic abilities.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis, with an immediate start available. The successful Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant will be working closely with a child on a 1:1 basis, providing tailored learning support, encouraging engagement in classroom activities and working alongside the class teacher to support the child's individual learning and development.
The successful Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant will have:

A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience is desirable

The ability to speak fluent Welsh is essential

Previous experience working with children in a primary school setting

Experience providing 1:1 support to pupils with varying learning needs

Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

A patient, caring and adaptable approach with a genuine passion for supporting children's development
