Do you want a permanent GP role that fits around your life?
GPS Healthcare is looking for GPs to join our Extended Access Service on a permanent contract; with fixed weekly sessions you can plan your life around.
This is a focused clinical role. You will see pre booked patients, face to face and by telephone. There are no home visits, no routine administrative duties. Time for clinical admin is built into every session.
It is ideal for GPs who want to add a regular session to an existing portfolio, GPs returning to practice, newly qualified GPs, or anyone who wants stable, predictable evening or weekend work without the uncertainty of locum bookings.
Extended Access is an important and growing part of how we care for our patients. As a permanent member of the team, you will have a real voice in how the service develops, from how sessions run to how we use our sites and systems.
Every Extended Access GP has a named partner for mentoring and clinical support, and reception or security cover is in place during every session. GPS Healthcare is a training practice, although there are no trainees in evening and Saturday sessions, so you will be working as an independent clinician with the backing of the wider team.
Appointments are 15 minutes, and sessions are designed so you can complete your clinical admin within your session.
You will be paid on a transparent scale based on your experience.
