Our approach is non-clinical and non-therapeutic . We focus on practical tools, skills, habits, connection and personal development , with appropriate safeguarding, professional boundaries and signposting to specialist support when needed. We're ambitious about what MINDSET can become. We want to build a recognisable brand, a supportive community and a financially sustainable organisation that delivers meaningful impact. But ambition alone doesn't build a charity. It takes strong governance. Sound financial management. Strategic leadership. Effective partnerships. Sustainable fundraising. Excellent safeguarding. And a Board of Trustees that believes in the mission and is prepared to help make it happen. That's where you come in. We're looking for our founding Board of Trustees: people who bring the experience, judgement, commitment and positive energy to help build MINDSET from the ground up. This is an opportunity to help shape our direction, strengthen our foundations and influence what the charity becomes. We're not looking for people who simply want another title on their CV. We're looking for people who want to make their experience count, get hands on and involved in shaping us into something extraordinary. The opportunity: Become a Founding Trustee As a founding trustee, you'll help establish the governance, strategy, culture and organisational foundations that will support MINDSET's development. You'll work alongside the Founder and fellow trustees to provide collective leadership, constructive challenge, oversight and strategic direction. You'll help us make good decisions, ask the right questions, manage risk, develop sustainable income and ensure that the interests of men and teenage boys remain at the centre of everything we do. We're particularly interested in people who combine professional expertise with curiosity, integrity, a collaborative attitude and a willingness to get involved. We know that people have different strengths. Some will bring financial or governance expertise; others will bring fundraising, safeguarding, service development, communications, partnerships or commercial experience. We don't expect every trustee to know everything. We do expect everyone to contribute their expertise, think beyond their own specialism and work together in the best interests of MINDSET and the people we serve. The roles we're recruiting for; 1. Chair of Trustees Provide leadership. Set the standard. Help shape the future. We're seeking an inspiring, credible and collaborative Chair to lead the Board and help MINDSET establish strong foundations for sustainable growth. You'll help the Board operate effectively, support constructive discussion and ensure that trustees provide appropriate oversight, strategic direction and accountability. You'll work closely with the Founder and fellow trustees, maintaining a healthy balance between ambition, good governance and the charity's charitable purpose. You could be a great fit if you have: Experience chairing a board, committee, leadership team or other decision-making group. Strong leadership, facilitation and relationship-building skills. The confidence to challenge constructively, encourage different perspectives and help groups reach sound decisions. An understanding of governance, organisational strategy, risk and accountability. The ability to support an ambitious founder while maintaining appropriate independent trustee oversight. A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for men and teenage boys.
