Estimator

A leading and well-regarded regional contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to support its pre-construction and tendering activities. Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager / Estimating Manager, you will play a key role in preparing accurate, competitive and commercially robust tenders for a range of construction projects. Working collaboratively with internal teams, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers, you will help ensure each tender reflects the client's requirements, project risks, programme and construction methodology. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and coordinate accurate, competitive and compliant tenders in line with client requirements and tender documentation. Review tender information, identify risks and opportunities, and contribute to tender strategy. Produce detailed estimates, cost plans, bills of quantities and pricing schedules. Manage subcontractor, supplier and consultant enquiries, evaluating quotations and preparing tender comparisons. Review construction methodology, programmes, logistics and resource requirements, identifying value-engineering opportunities. Work closely with design, commercial, operational and SHEQ teams to ensure tenders reflect buildability, procurement, programme and compliance requirements. Attend site visits, tender interviews and client, consultant and supply-chain meetings as required. Maintain accurate tender records, cost data, benchmark rates and market intelligence.
