Retail Security Officer – Newcastle City Centre Full-time | Day shifts About the Role We are recruiting a professional and presentable Retail Security Officer to join our team in Newcastle city centre . You will help create a safe and welcoming shopping environment, protect staff and customers, and prevent theft and other security incidents. Key Responsibilities Provide a visible security presence to deter theft and antisocial behaviour. Conduct regular patrols of the store. Support store staff with loss prevention and security concerns. Respond professionally to incidents, using effective communication and de-escalation skills. Monitor CCTV where applicable and within your licence permissions. Maintain accurate incident reports and records. Deliver excellent customer service. Requirements A valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor licence . At least one year of security experience , preferably in retail. Good spoken and written English, including the ability to read instructions and complete reports. A smart appearance and professional manner. Strong observation, communication and customer service skills. The right to work in the UK and availability to work full-time. Availability for day shifts, including Saturdays and Sundays, is essential.
