What You'll Be Doing As a General Foreman, you will play a key role in ensuring highways construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards. Your responsibilities will include: You will oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring highways and civil engineering works are delivered safely and efficiently. You will supervise and coordinate site operatives, subcontractors and specialist trades to ensure works progress in line with the construction programme. You will work closely with the Site Agent and Works Manager to plan activities, allocate resources and manage daily site requirements. You will ensure labour, plant, materials and subcontractors are organised effectively to maintain productivity. You will monitor progress against programme targets, identifying potential delays and implementing practical solutions.
