NLGV Driver Operative

Job Responsibilities: NLGV Driver Operative Drive and operate NLGV vehicles for street cleansing and environmental services Carry out manual street cleansing and related environmental duties Collect and remove waste, litter and other materials as required Operate vehicle-mounted equipment and other relevant machinery safely Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects or issues Follow health and safety procedures and safe working practices Work as part of the Street Cleansing team to maintain clean and safe public areas Carry out manual handling and physical duties as required Follow work schedules and instructions from supervisors Maintain accurate records and report completed work or issues Provide a professional and courteous service to members of the public Work Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:00, as required Person Specification: NLGV Driver Operative Essential: NLGV Driver Operative Full and valid driving licence suitable for the role Previous experience driving or operating larger vehicles is desirable Experience of manual work or street/environmental services Ability to carry out physically demanding and manual duties Ability to operate equipment safely and follow instructions Good understanding of health and safety requirements Reliable, punctual and able to work to scheduled times Ability to work effectively as part of a team Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records Commitment to confidentiality and data protection Desirable: NLGV Driver Operative Experience in street cleansing, waste collection, grounds maintenance or similar environmental services Experience operating NLGV or other specialist vehicles Data Protection Level 1 Training
