Building Surveyor - Planned Preventative Maintenance & Capital Projects Location: Castle Point, Essex Rate: Up to 500 per day (Umbrella) Contract: Temporary - Initial 3 Months Hours: Full Time Working Arrangement: Hybrid - Minimum 3 Days Office-Based Closing Date: 21st October 2026 The Opportunity MMP Consultancy is currently recruiting for an experienced Building Surveyor - Planned Preventative Maintenance & Capital Projects to join a public sector organisation based in Castle Point, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Building Surveyor to take responsibility for planned maintenance programmes, capital projects and facilities management across a diverse property portfolio. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring assets are maintained to a high standard, capital projects are delivered effectively, and contractors provide safe, compliant and value-for-money services. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes across a varied property portfolio. Oversee the full lifecycle of capital projects, from initial planning and specification through to delivery and completion. Ensure capital projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Manage facilities management operations, ensuring buildings and assets remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose. Monitor contractor performance, service delivery, budgets and contractual obligations. Undertake building inspections, condition surveys and technical assessments to identify maintenance and investment requirements. Provide professional property advice to support wider asset management and estate strategies. Work closely with senior management, internal departments, tenants, contractors and external stakeholders.
