Job Description
Main Duties 1. Store Security and Surveillance Monitor customer and employee activity throughout the store. Patrol sales floors, stockrooms, entrances and exits. Identify suspicious behaviour, security risks and policy breaches. Deter and prevent shoplifting, theft and other criminal activity. 2. Loss Prevention Help protect company property, stock and equipment. Assist with investigations into theft, accidents and policy violations. Follow store loss-prevention procedures and report concerns to management. 3. Incident and Emergency Response Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies and disturbances. Support emergency evacuations and safety procedures. Liaise with management, emergency services and local law enforcement when required. 4. Reporting and Documentation Complete accurate incident, accident and loss-prevention reports. Record relevant details, witness information and actions taken. Report hazards, suspicious activity and security breaches promptly. 5. Customer Service and Compliance Enforce store policies and security procedures professionally. Remain calm, polite and approachable when dealing with customers. Monitor entrances and exits to ensure security procedures are followed. Work closely with store management and staff to maintain a safe environment. Person Specification Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding licence, as required. First Aid certification is desirable. Previous retail or security experience is desirable. Excellent communication and customer-service skills. Right to work in the UK.
