Purpose & Scope of the Role As a Consultant Engineer, you will play a key role in the technical development and delivery of civil engineering and flood risk management projects across government agency, water company, local authority and private sector portfolios. You will provide high-quality engineering input across all stages of the project lifecycle, from inception and strategic optioneering through to outline and detailed design. You will help shape technically sound, practical and deliverable solutions, while supporting project teams to maintain momentum, quality and alignment with client objectives. The role will involve taking ownership of defined workstreams, contributing to technical governance, guiding multidisciplinary coordination and helping ensure that risks, assumptions, interfaces and opportunities are clearly understood and managed. You will also support client engagement, technical approvals and the development of trusted, collaborative working relationships.
