Job Description

Job summary

The Ridgeway Surgery in Harrow is seeking a salaried GP for six sessions per week on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The sessions are required on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Join a multidisciplinary team where you can contribute to patient care and help shape how we deliver our services. We are a training practice, rated Good in all areas by the CQC, with a strong focus on collaborative working, digital transformation and improving access for patients.

You will work alongside GP partners, salaried GPs, advanced clinical practitioners, pharmacists, nurses and our wider care team. This is an opportunity to bring your experience and ideas to a practice actively developing its services.

The appointment is fixed term while we review our longer-term clinical staffing needs in light of anticipated neighbourhood service developments, premises plans and our financial position. This review will inform whether future provision involves salaried GP role or a different level of clinical capacity. Extension or a permanent salaried appointment cannot be guaranteed.

We welcome applications from GPs who enjoy working collaboratively and want to contribute to the next stage of our practices development.

You will undertake the clinical administration associated with patient care, including reviewing results and correspondence, prescribing and making referrals, supported by our multidisciplinary team.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure safe, coordinated care, contributing to clinical discussions, safeguarding and quality improvement. We welcome your ideas for improving services and making effective use of digital tools.

The role will include home visits where clinically appropriate and opportunities to contribute to teaching and supervision, according to your experience and interests.
