Your New Company Hays Accountancy & Finance are working with a well-established organisation in Rotherham to recruit a temporary Finance Officer for an initial period of 3+ months. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a busy finance team and provide support across a range of transactional and finance administration duties. Your New Role Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Duties will include: Processing purchase and sales invoices Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries Assisting with bank reconciliations Processing payments and monitoring cash transactions Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data integrity Supporting month-end processes and reporting requirements Assisting with credit control activities where required Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers General finance administration and ad hoc support to the wider finance team What You'll Need to Succeed Previous experience working within a Finance Officer, Accounts Assistant, Assistant Accountant or similar finance role Strong understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger and reconciliations Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and finance systems Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Available to start at short notice What You'll Get in Return Immediate start available Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm (30 mins lunch) Competitive hourly rate of £14.00 - £15.00 per hour Weekly pay through Hays Hybrid opportunities may be available depending on business requirements Friendly and supportive working environment Opportunity to gain valuable experience within a reputable organisation What You Need to Do Now If you're interested in this role, click 'Apply Now' to submit your application, or contact the Hays Accountancy & Finance team for a confidential discussion about your next career move. #4836809 - Laura Hawksworth
