Isambard Kingdom Brunel Primary School currently have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced practitioner to join the team as a Classroom Higher Level Teaching Assistant supporting teaching staff with responsibility for the development and educational provision of learners. Hours of Work: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3.30pm with 30-minutes unpaid lunch. Term Time only (38 weeks) plus 3 inset days, this includes some annual training days which will be worked at the start of each academic year, dates and times to be confirmed annually. Salary: £29,542 FTE, £21,993 actual annual salary, which is point 12 on the NJC pay scale. You’ll be responsible for assisting with planning, preparation and delivery of lesson provision, both on a whole-class and individual basis, preparing resources to support learning activities as well as ensuring pupils are supported pastorally. You’ll contribute to evaluating student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher to ensure all students’ learning needs are being met. Working alongside teaching staff, parents and a range of professionals on a regular basis to implement and review programmes of intervention. Job requirements GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent in English & Maths, plus at least three other academic subjects Teaching Assistant qualification - desirable Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in tandem with teaching staff Ability to be empathetic and understanding to the needs of students Why join us?
