About ASH Construction Group ASH Construction Group is an established contractor delivering construction, civil engineering and rail projects across the UK. Due to continued growth and an expanding workload, we are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team in Thanet, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven QS who wants to take ownership of projects and play an important role in their successful commercial delivery. The Role As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from tender and procurement through to delivery and final account. Working closely with our operational and commercial teams, you will ensure projects are delivered within budget while identifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Manage the commercial and financial performance of projects. Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets and forecasts. Monitor project expenditure, profitability and overall commercial performance. Prepare regular commercial and financial reports for Directors and the wider commercial team. Review, prepare and manage construction contracts. Manage variations, changes, claims and contractual matters. Identify commercial risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures. Manage subcontractor and supplier procurement, including obtaining quotations and negotiating commercial terms. Work closely with project and operational teams to identify value-engineering and cost-saving opportunities. Maintain accurate commercial records and project documentation. Prepare, negotiate and agree final accounts. Work collaboratively with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to support successful project delivery.
