About the Role: Treasurer As Treasurer and a member of our Management Committee, you will provide strategic oversight of Right to Remains’ finances, helping to ensure the organisation's long-term sustainability and impact. Working closely with the Director, you will support strong financial governance, inform decision-making, and help steward the resources that enable our migration justice work. Key Responsibilities The Treasurer will: ● Provide strategic oversight of the charity's finances and support Right to Remains’ long-term financial sustainability. Including by reporting on financial matters and potential risks at the MC Board meetings. ● Support the Management Committee in fulfilling its financial governance, risk management and compliance responsibilities. Including leading on identification and management of financial risks. ● Review and present financial information, including budgets, management accounts, cash flow, and financial performance to support effective decision-making. ● Ensure appropriate financial controls, procedures, and systems are in place to safeguard the Charity’s resources ● Oversee the development and monitoring of annual budgets, reserves and sustainability plans. ● Oversee the preparation and approval of annual accounts and ensure compliance with Charity Commission, Companies House, and other regulatory requirements. ● Advise on the financial implications of strategic plans, projects and funding opportunities. ● Work closely with the Director, to support fundraising, income generation, and the organisation's long-term financial resilience. Including a monthly financial review meeting with the Director. ● Ensure appropriate banking arrangements, authorisations, and financial mandates are maintained.
