Job Description
Shelter Cymru is seeking an experienced and empathetic individual to take on the role of Peer Research Coordinator. This role sits at the heart of the Fight for Home, and is vital in helping us ensure that the work we do to tackle the root causes of the housing emergency is rooted in lived experience of homelessness and other housing issues. The Peer Research Team is a well established function at Shelter Cymru, and is made up of a number of individuals who support our work on casual contracts. As a Team they undertake a range of activities including both qualitative and quantitative research as well as report writing and public speaking. The Peer Research Coordinator acts as the primary point of contact for Peer Researchers with Shelter Cymru as an organisation. This includes supporting them on a day-to-day basis, marketing the work of the team, recruiting and onboarding new members and other activity that may arise. The role works closely with the wider Shelter Cymru Campaigns Team and particularly the staff in policy, research and public affairs. This is offered as a part-time role at 21 hours per week. We welcome the opportunity to speak with people about the vacancy and if you are interested in an informal conversation with Robin White, Head of Campaigns, please let us know.
