Thank you for your interest in applying for the position of Caretaker Technician at Abersychan School. Our school site comprises a diverse range of buildings, facilities and operating systems, with the oldest building dating back to 1914. In recent years, the school has secured significant investment to develop and refurbish many areas of the premises. From a sporting perspective, these improvements include a state-of-the-art 3G pitch, netball courts, changing rooms, sports hall and dance studio. These facilities are extensively used by both students and the wider community. As a result, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate flexibility, initiative and a willingness to develop new skills. The role will require participation in relevant training and accreditation, including health and safety, property maintenance, machinery operation and MiDAS training, to ensure the school continues to provide a safe, efficient and welcoming environment for all users of the site. Abersychan School is an 11-16 co-educational comprehensive school which meets the needs of children of all abilities. We are a school that is committed to ensuring that all our young people are happy, successful and ready for their lives beyond school. Our expectations and standards are high.
