GLF teacher training offers locally delivered teacher training in Surrey and Oxford/Reading through a range of routes, from fee-funded pathways to employment-based routes for those with teaching experience and an employing school. About the Role: We are excited to offer aspiring teachers a fantastic opportunity to join GLF’s Trainee Teacher Programme. As part of our GLF Oxford/Reading Teacher Training Hub based in Didcot, you’ll receive exceptional training, support, and a choice of training routes, from our employment-based routes to our fee-funded routes, where you could pay trainee fees through a student loan or potentially receive a tax-free training bursary. Qualifications and Eligibility To be eligible for this teacher training route you will have the following qualifications: A degree awarded by a UK higher education provider or recognised equivalent qualification. (For Secondary courses at least 50% of your degree will be in the subject you wish to teach.) A Degree 2:2 or above (may accept a 3rd class or ordinary degree in particular circumstances) Grade C/4 or above in English, Maths, and Science for Primary routes only Demonstrate you hold the right to work and study in the UK and have been a resident in the UK/EEA for the last three years. For employment-based training routes, classroom teaching experience will be required, as you will be teaching from day one of the course, and you will need a school to offer an employment contract.
