We are recruiting for a qualified Teacher to join us at Aspris Ridgeway School, our specialist autism school for pupils aged 7-16. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing school and play a key role in shaping provision for autistic pupils. The role involves delivering high‑quality teaching and learning in Art and Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to teach Music considered an advantage. We are seeking a passionate and creative practitioner who can inspire students and contribute to a vibrant performing and creative arts offer. This position is ideally for a January 2027 start, though we are open to applications from candidates who may be available after the February half term. A school guided by the values of Confidence, Courage, Compassion and Community. Main responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging Art (Drama and Music) lessons across KS 3 and 4. Adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs of pupils, including autistic pupils and those with additional special educational needs. Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching accordingly. Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement and learning in line with school procedures. Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities. Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and other professionals to support positive outcomes for pupils. You will: Hold UK QTS. Have significant classroom experience up to KS4. Have strong knowledge of the curriculum and high expectations for all pupils. Have an understanding of adaptive and inclusive teaching approaches. Be willing to participate in ongoing professional development. Have a passion for education and inspiring young people. Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
