Design & Technology Technician 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year - Grade 3, SCP 5-6 Bradfield Secondary School is a thriving and inclusive secondary school with a strong commitment to high-quality teaching, learning and pupil achievement. We're looking for a practical, organised and enthusiastic individual to join our Design & Technology team and play a key role in supporting an engaging and innovative curriculum. We are seeking a dedicated Design & Technology Technician to support the effective delivery of learning across our busy DT department. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside skilled teaching staff, helping to create a safe, well-resourced and inspiring environment where pupils can develop their creativity, technical skills and confidence. As our DT Technician, you will be responsible for preparing materials and equipment, maintaining machinery and resources, managing stock and supporting health and safety procedures across the department. You will also provide practical support to staff and pupils, including occasional in-class assistance and helping to operate specialist equipment and CAD/CAM technologies. We are looking for someone who: Has a good general education, ideally with experience or qualifications related to Design & Technology, Engineering or Resistant Materials. Is organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities. Has strong ICT skills and an interest in technology-based equipment and machinery. Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with both staff and pupils. Is committed to maintaining high standards of health, safety and safeguarding.
