Teaching Assistant Grade 2 (£20,288 - £21,666 take home) 32.5 Hours Per Week, Term Time Only An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our highly ambitious and forward-thinking SEND Department as a SEND Teaching Assistant. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and compassionate individual who is passionate about improving outcomes for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and committed to ensuring that every young person is able to fulfil their potential. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the SENCo, teaching staff, families and external agencies to provide high-quality support and help create an environment where all students can succeed. This is a rewarding and varied role where no two days are the same. You will support students both in and out of the classroom, helping them to overcome barriers to learning, develop independence and build confidence. Strong relationships, excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to inclusive practice are essential. We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and able to use their initiative while working as part of a dedicated and supportive team. The Teaching Assistant will support the SENCo to: Support students in lessons, individually and in small groups, to enhance learning and engagement. Assist teachers with the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities. Provide targeted support for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ensuring individual needs are met. Promote positive behaviour, resilience and independence in line with the school's behaviour policy. Help monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff. Support students' social, emotional, and personal development. Contribute to the creation of a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. Assist with educational visits, enrichment activities, and other school events as required. Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.
