Job Description
Experience of working with children, ideally within the Early Years Foundation Stage and/or with children with SEND. A good understanding of child development and the ability to recognise and respond to individual learning and support needs. Good literacy, numeracy and spoken and written English skills. Ability to support learning through play, small-group activities and targeted interventions. Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues. A calm, caring, flexible and adaptable approach, with a positive attitude to supporting children's learning and wellbeing. Experience of supporting children's social, emotional and communication development. Understanding of safeguarding and a strong commitment to promoting children's welfare. Good organisation, punctuality, time-management and teamwork skills. Commitment to confidentiality, equality, inclusion and the school's Catholic ethos. Willingness to undertake relevant training and contribute to ongoing professional development. Desirable: experience or training in speech and language, emotional literacy/nurture programmes, SEND interventions or First Aid.
