Teaching Assistants Required - Primary & Secondary ARP Settings | Sandwell Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with SEN experience, or looking to develop your career within specialist education? I am currently working with a number of Primary and Secondary schools across Sandwell that have specialist Additionally Resourced Provisions (ARPs) supporting pupils with a range of needs including: Autism (ASC) Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) ADHD Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) These schools are seeking dedicated, patient and resilient Teaching Assistants to support pupils on both a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them access learning, develop independence and achieve their potential. The Role You may be required to: Support pupils within ARP classrooms and mainstream lessons Deliver tailored interventions and adapted learning activities Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation Support communication and social development Work closely with teachers, SENDCos and external professionals Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and families Ideal Candidates Will Have: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND Ideally, experience supporting pupils with additional needs within a school, ARP, specialist provision, care or support setting Experience within schools, specialist settings, care, support work or youth work A patient, nurturing and flexible approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs What Hays Education Can Offer Opportunities across a range of Primary and Secondary ARP settings Daily supply, long-term and permanent opportunities Competitive rates of pay Ongoing support from a dedicated SEND recruitment specialist Access to free CPD and training Over the last 20 years, I have built strong relationships with special schools, ARPs and specialist provisions across Sandwell and the wider Black Country.
