About The Role Avanti House Secondary School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Chemistry to inspire pupils and help them develop a strong understanding and appreciation of the subject. You will join a supportive and collaborative team and play an important role in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons that challenge pupils, develop their curiosity and enable them to achieve their full potential. We are looking for a teacher who combines high expectations with a commitment to building positive relationships and fostering a genuine love of learning. As a Teacher of Chemistry, you will create a safe, purposeful and stimulating classroom environment where every pupil is encouraged to succeed. You will contribute to the wider life of the school, work collaboratively with colleagues and support the academic progress, wellbeing and personal development of our pupils. Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive Chemistry teaching that meets the needs of all pupils, builds on prior knowledge and enables them to achieve their highest possible standards. Monitor, assess and provide constructive feedback on pupils’ progress and attainment, using evidence and data to inform planning, differentiation and targeted support. Establish a safe, purposeful and respectful learning environment, maintaining high expectations for behaviour, achievement, independence and pupil wellbeing. Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers, the wider school community and external partners, contributing positively to the curriculum, pastoral life and ethos of Avanti House Secondary School. Uphold professional standards and safeguarding responsibilities, while continually developing teaching practice through reflection, professional development and engagement with school policies and procedures.
