About the Role: As a casual HLTA, you will be called upon to cover classes from Reception to Year 6 when required, due to staff absence or planned professional development commitments. You will deliver engaging learning experiences and support pupils to make excellent progress. The role will include: Delivering learning activities under the direction of teachers. Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development. Contributing to the assessment, monitoring and evaluation of pupil progress. Promoting high expectations of behaviour and creating a positive learning environment. Supporting the teaching of literacy, numeracy and other curriculum areas. Supporting inclusion and ensuring all pupils can access learning opportunities. Using ICT effectively to support teaching and learning. We Are Looking For Someone Who: Has experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, cover teacher or class teacher within the last 5 years . Holds Level 4 HLTA qualification (or equivalent) - this is an essential requirement for application Has a good understanding of teaching and learning strategies and the primary curriculum. Can confidently work with individual pupils, groups and whole classes. Has excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. Works effectively as part of a team and builds positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families. Demonstrates initiative, responsibility and the ability to work independently within agreed boundaries. Is committed to raising standards and achieving the best outcomes for all pupils.
