Architectural Technician Portsmouth - Hybrid About the Role We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join a growing multidisciplinary team, supporting the delivery of complex projects across a range of sectors. Working under the direction of the Principal Architectural Technologist , you will be responsible for producing high-quality technical drawings and construction information that transform design concepts into compliant, coordinated, and buildable solutions. You will play a key role throughout the RIBA stages, ensuring technical accuracy, multidisciplinary coordination, and successful project delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong technical detailing skills and experience working within a consultancy or design-led construction environment. Key Responsibilities Produce detailed architectural drawings, schedules, and technical information across all relevant RIBA stages. Develop technical detailing solutions that address buildability, compliance, and coordination requirements. Coordinate architectural information with internal disciplines and external consultants, including Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and BIM teams. Support multidisciplinary design coordination to identify and resolve clashes before construction. Work within BIM environments and ISO 19650 information management processes. Manage drawing revisions, document control, version management, and project information workflows. Coordinate QA/QC reviews and ensure technical information is issued accurately and on time. Manage statutory approval requirements, including Building Regulations, planning conditions, and fire strategy requirements. Ensure compliance with relevant technical standards, client requirements, and industry-specific regulations. Support technical query resolution throughout design development and construction phases. Maintain drawing registers, project records, and controlled documentation systems.
