Project Quantity Surveyor Tier 1 Main Contractor £100m+ Residential Scheme Central London Up to £70,000 + Package A leading multi-discipline Tier 1 main contractor is looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a £100m+ residential scheme. The business delivers large, complex projects across residential, commercial, healthcare, education, infrastructure and more. It has a long-established reputation, a strong order book and a well-earned name for investing in and promoting its own people. This is a high-profile project and a genuine opportunity to build a long-term career with one of the UK's major contractors. The role You'll manage the commercial side of your packages from procurement through to final account. You'll report to the Senior QS and Commercial Manager and work closely with the project and site teams. Responsibilities include: Subcontract package procurement, tendering and appointment Subcontractor valuations, payments and final accounts Change control, variations and early warnings Monthly cost reporting, CVRs and forecasting Supporting client applications and valuations Identifying and actively managing commercial risk and opportunity Making sure contractual procedures are followed under JCT and/or NEC What you'll need Main contractor experience is essential. You must come from a main contracting background. Consultancy-only or subcontractor-only backgrounds will not be considered. A stable CV is essential. The client is looking for proven commitment, with solid tenure at previous employers. Candidates with frequent short-term moves will not be considered. Experience on large-scale projects, ideally residential, high-rise or multi-unit schemes A strong grasp of subcontract procurement, package management and final accounts Good working knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline A proactive, organised and commercially aware
