WAVERLEY EDUCATION FOUNDATION TRUST Waverley Studio College 470 Belchers Lane Bordesley Green Birmingham B9 5SX Careers Support Officer Salary Grade 3 Term time + Two weeks Salary £28,153 - £34,811 Pro rata Approx. actual £25,954 Start Date: ASAP Waverley Education Foundation (WEF) is a Multi Academy Trust, which operates both Waverley School and Waverley Studio College. WEF has over 1900 pupils on roll across the trust. It develops, brokers and delivers a range of services which support learning and leadership & management and improve outcomes for children and young people. Waverley Studio College opened in September 2013 and caters for students at key stages 4 and 5. With up to 75 students in each cohort the college has provision for up to 300 students. Our core values of Humanity, Equality, Aspiration and Respect support our vision to create a learning community where we work together to achieve excellence in everything we do. “Pupils have a strong understanding of diversity, respect and tolerance, including for different family lifestyles” – Ofsted 2021 We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Career Support Officer and help support the College’s Careers Education programme. This is an exciting time to join Waverley Studio College as we continue to strengthen our careers provision and develop meaningful opportunities that prepare students for their future pathways. To provide efficient administrative support for the college’s careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) programme, helping the college meet the DfE statutory careers guidance (updated for September 2026), the Gatsby Benchmarks and the provider access legislation. The post holder keeps accurate records, arranges careers activities and work experience, and helps make sure every student has the encounters and guidance they are entitled to. All applicants must be able to communicate effectively with pupils, teachers and external agencies as required. All applicants must also have the relevant qualifications and A* - C GCSE in English or equivalent. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role. The successful candidate will need to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
