Job Description

Fawkes & Reece West are currently working with an established M&E client based near Bridgend, who are looking to appoint an experienced Part-Time Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of a major M&E refurbishment project. The project involves the refurbishment of an established hotel and spa complex in Windsor, with the successful candidate primarily working from the client's Bridgend office and making occasional visits to the Windsor site as required. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with an M&E background to join a live project on a flexible, part-time basis for approximately 11 months. The Role As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing commercial support and ensuring effective financial management throughout the project. Key responsibilities will include: Managing the commercial aspects of M&E refurbishment works. Preparing, reviewing and managing project budgets and cost plans. Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and payments. Reviewing and agreeing variations, change orders and compensation events. Monitoring project costs and providing accurate financial reporting. Assisting with forecasting, cash flow and cost-value reconciliation. Reviewing subcontractor applications for payment and preparing valuations. Managing final accounts and ensuring costs are accurately captured. Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities. Working closely with the project management, engineering and commercial teams. Attending occasional site visits in Windsor to support commercial and project requirements. Maintaining accurate commercial records and project documentation. About You The successful candidate will ideally have: Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the M&E / building services sector. Experience working on refurbishment projects, ideally within commercial, hospitality, hotel or similar environments. Strong understanding of M&E
