Job Description
Marden Lodge Primary School is seeking a trainee teacher to work with the 3-7 or 5-11 age range on the fee-funded training route. Are you a passionate graduate based in or near Surrey and ready to begin your teaching career at Marden Lodge Primary School? Could this be you? About Marden Lodge Primary School Marden Lodge is a Primary school for children aged 4-11 years of age with a Nursery catering for children from 2 years of age. We are an inclusive school that works hard with our parents and the local community to provide the best education for our children, ensuring that they are ready for the next phase in their educational journey and become a successful citizen in the future. In the recent Ofsted inspection, Ofsted highlighted many strengths of our school including the strength of our curriculum, our early years provision and support for pupils with additional needs. Under the new framework, schools are assessed against a series of individual areas rather than a single overall grade. Marden Lodge met the ‘expected standard’, the level at which schools are judged to be performing well across achievement, curriculum and teaching, early years, inclusion, leadership and governance, and personal development and wellbeing. Pupil behaviour at the school was praised by Ofsted, with inspectors saying: "Behaviour across the school is calm and focused. As a result of the school's firm focus on behaviour, pupils demonstrate positive attitudes towards their learning." Ofsted also highlighted how children successfully learn over time at Marden, saying that “Leaders have developed a broad and engaging curriculum. This is well planned and sequenced to help pupils build the essential knowledge they need.” (Ofsted, 2026) GLF Teacher Training works with a range of schools across all phases, including Early Years, Primary, and Secondary, across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, West Sussex and the London Boroughs of Wandsworth and Croydon.
