Floreat Montague Park Primary School is seeking a trainee teacher to work with the 3-7 or 5-11 age range on the fee-funded training route. Echoing the sentiments of many, one parent said, ‘All the staff are very supportive, they go above and beyond to support our children, and they do it with a smile on their faces.’ (Ofsted, 2022) GLF Teacher Training works with a range of schools across all phases, including Early Years, Primary, and Secondary, across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, West Sussex and the London Boroughs of Wandsworth and Croydon. As a Trust, GLF has 43 schools, and we also work with partner schools across this region. GLF teacher training offers locally delivered teacher training in Surrey and Oxford/Reading through a range of routes, from fee-funded pathways to employment-based routes for those with teaching experience and an employing school. About the Role: We are excited to offer aspiring teachers a fantastic opportunity to join GLF’s Trainee Teacher Programme. As part of our GLF Oxford/Reading Teacher Training Hub based in Didcot, you’ll receive exceptional training, support, and a choice of training routes, from our employment-based routes to our fee-funded routes, where you could pay trainee fees through a student loan or potentially receive a tax-free training bursary. As a trainee at GLF, you'll join a supportive team that prioritises your professional development, well-being, and workload. Qualifications and Eligibility To be eligible for this teacher training route you will have the following qualifications: A degree awarded by a UK higher education provider or recognised equivalent qualification. (For Secondary courses at least 50% of your degree will be in the subject you wish to teach.) A Degree 2:2 or above (may accept a 3rd class or ordinary degree in particular circumstances) Grade C/4 or above in English, Maths, and Science for Primary routes only Demonstrate you hold the right to work and study in the UK and have been a resident in the UK/EEA for the last three years. For employment-based training routes, classroom teaching experience will be required, as you will be teaching from day one of the course, and you will need a school to offer an employment contract. If you have overseas qualifications but the right to work in the UK, we will need a statement of comparability for your qualifications.
