Cuddington Croft Primary School is seeking a trainee teacher to work with the 3-7 or 5-11 age range on the fee-funded training route. Cuddington Croft is a two-form entry primary school catering for 3 to 11-year-olds, with just under 500 children on role. We are a very well-resourced school, having the benefit of an indoor swimming pool, a playing field and a range of modern I.T equipment. In the recent Ofsted inspection , Inspectors observed Cuddington Croft noting “Pupils show high levels of trust and respect for the adults who look after and care for them. Pupils flourish in a happy and safe learning environment which promotes independence from the youngest to the oldest pupils. They are proud of their school and work hard, reflecting school values such as commitment, care and courage.” “Leaders have developed an ambitious curriculum that is regularly reviewed and refined. Established subject leaders have careful oversight of their areas of learning” and teachers “have good subject knowledge and high expectations of all pupils. They plan interesting lessons that stimulate discussion, encouraging pupils to form an opinion.'(Ofsted, 2022) GLF Teacher Training works with a range of schools across all phases, including Early Years, Primary, and Secondary, across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, West Sussex and the London Boroughs of Wandsworth and Croydon. As a Trust, GLF has 43 schools, and we also work with partner schools across this region. GLF teacher training offers locally delivered teacher training in Surrey and Oxford/Reading through a range of routes, from fee-funded pathways to employment-based routes for those with teaching experience and an employing school. As part of our GLF Surrey Teacher Training Hub based in Banstead, you’ll receive exceptional training, support, and a choice of training routes, from our employment-based routes to our fee-funded routes, where you could pay trainee fees through a student loan or potentially receive a tax-free training bursary. Qualifications and Eligibility To be eligible for this teacher training route you will have the following qualifications: A degree awarded by a UK higher education provider or recognised equivalent qualification. (For Secondary courses at least 50% of your degree will be in the subject you wish to teach.) A Degree 2:2 or above (may accept a 3rd class or ordinary degree in particular circumstances) Grade C/4 or above in English, Maths, and Science for Primary routes only Demonstrate you hold the right to work and study in the UK and have been a resident in the UK/EEA for the last three years. For employment-based training routes, classroom teaching experience will be required, as you will be teaching from day one of the course, and you will need a school to offer an employment contract.
