Teacher of English & English Intervention Tutor Part-time (0.4/0.5 FTE) - 13 hours per week Monday and Thursday From 1st January 2027 until 31st August 2027 The School Gordano School, part of the Lighthouse Schools Partnership, is a large and successful 11-18 comprehensive secondary school approximately eight miles outside Bristol. Our school includes a thriving Sixth Form of approximately 350 students that is strongly integrated into the life of the school and offers significant opportunities for sixth form teaching in over 30 courses. The Role We are seeking a well-qualified, motivated and innovative Teacher of English to join our collaborative and ambitious English team. The role has specific responsibility to deliver ‘Core Support’ in Year 11 and Year 10 which is a directed option for students who require additional support in English. It will include pre teaching and literacy support, arranging, planning, delivering and communicating with parents regarding bespoke literacy and English interventions for students in Years 7-11 (with or without an EHCP.)
